Frequently Asked Questions
What You Need to Know Before Your Appointment at ThriVe® Metro East
Do I need to have a missed period before my appointment?
Yes. Here’s why:
To ensure the most accurate results, we ask that you wait 28–31 days from the first day of your last period before coming in for a pregnancy test.
It typically takes until the time of a missed period for the hCG hormone (the hormone detected by a pregnancy test) to reach levels high enough for detection.
